What to do at an AOMCI Swap Meet!
Member Dave Altieri is involved in a trip billed as a STEAM TRAIN & RIVER BOAT TRIP. He offers these details: This is a group trip with our Car Club and Bowling League, it is for everyone. If we do it as a group we will all get a discount. If you or some of your friends want to go call Wade Tours (355-4500) (Tell them you want to sign up for the AUHV GROUPE TRIP. The trip is on May 8th. 2011 CALL NOW TO SAVE YOUR SEAT FOR THIS TRIP. The regular price is $85 before discount. (Discount Price is $76.50 For the Bus trip-Train Ride-River Boat & Food) A bountiful Lunch will be included at Oliver's in historic Essex, Ct. Meal Choice: 1 Grilled Steak. 2 Cheddar Chicken. #3 Baked Salmon 4Egg Plant Parmagina/Ride The Steam Train and then Get On a River Boat. Boat Race Bruce Boyle is working on a boat race on Lake Algonquin in Wells, NY on June 4th & 5th. Members who have old hydros are invited to bring them for display. We are working on details so that we will also have an event at the same time and our members can then take their boats out and demonstrate them if they want. We can set up displays at the pits or the pavilion. Volunteers are needed for both days if anyone is interested. Motors could also be shown and there will be a Brooks BBQ afterwards for dinner. The event is being run to raise funds for the Wells Rescue Squad and Fire Company. This is the weekend after Memorial Day. We will discuss more at the Knapik Meet. Tee Shirts Are Here!
Anyone who has paid their Chapter dues of $10.00 has had a tee shirt ordered in their size. I distributed some of them at the Mabee Farm Meet when I could and more will be handed out at any Meet. The rest I will contact to arrange individually. We'll do this again for next year, for those who want to pay dues now. The money helps pay postage and costs of the Chapter, plus the shirt.

There are a number of items and events in the works, to hopefully create more opportunities for us to get together and share experiences, parts and friendship! PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN DATE FROM OUR NORMAL SCHEDULE!!! - September 19TH, 2010 - Schroon Lake Meet
We normally have the meet on the last Sunday of September, BUT there is a big race taking place through the Town that will close down Route 9 and make it impossible for everyone to get to and from the boat launch, so the Town offered us the preceding Sunday, which works for all I spoke to. It's a great location and we always have a good time, so come bring a boat and put in the water with us!
